A pioneering Black golfer, Jim Dent, tragically passed away at 85. He became a pro golfer who broke through to the PGA in the times when Black golfers were often unwelcome and thus rare. Davis and Sadie A. Davis. Madelyn was a cherished member of the Springfield Baptist Church, where she dedicated her time and service to the Usher board. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her faith and community. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Madea May Robins of Augusta, Georgia; her adoring grandchildren, Kaylia and Karolyn Robins, also of Augusta, Georgia; and her dear brother, James O.
