Lyda Green, former Alaska Senate president, passed away at the age of 85 on December 19th, 2023. She spent her final moments at a hospital in Soldotna, Alaska. She was born on October 16th, 1938, in Livingston, Texas. Green served 14 years in the Alaska Senate from 1994.
