Sandra Faye Sibley, left us unexpectedly on Friday May 23,2025 at Hurley Medical Center. She was brung into this world on June 6,1961. To proud parents Joseph Sibley and Hattie Mae Davis. Sandra (Faye) was born in Jonesville, Louisiana. Sandra will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She was a cherished member of the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, where her spirit and warmth uplifted the congregation. She'll never be forgotten. Sandra leaves behind 2 sons. Dwayne(Maudrine) Corthion,and Anthony Corthion. 2 brothers. Ricky(Youvena)Bowie,and Craig Sibley. 1 sister Althea (Pee-Wee)Sibley. She also leaves behind lots of loving family,and friends who loved her dearly. Especially her beautiful only surviving living auntie Clara Sue Beal(Lil Momma)and all of her grandchildren who she loved dearly. She'll DEFINITELY be missed. She was preceded into death by both of her parents, both of her grandparents. 6 aunties, Elvira,Beatrice,Jessie Mae, Nancy,Bobbie Reed,Eloise 2 brothers Joseph Sibley Jr,and Keith Sibley Sr. Her first born son Calvin Sibley. Her special favorite nephew who didn't play about her KEITH SIBLEY JR. So many others,to many to name. May they all continue to rest in peace. The family of Sandra Faye would like to thank Shelton Banks Funeral Home,New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, all who helped in this time of need. And her cousin Lashele Star for all that she have done. Sandra Sibley will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

U.S. Rep Dan Kildee fondly remembered their shared high school days, emphasizing Mays' love for serving Flint and his constituents. Despite occasional confrontations at City Council meetings, colleagues like Judy Priestly recognized Mays as an advocate who cared deeply for his city and constituents. Councilman Mays' dedication will be remembered with gratitude, as stated by Flint City Council President Ladel Lewis. Mays' legal battles were championed by Lento Law Group, praising his devotion to public service and vowing to continue the fight for Mays' constituents and the city in his name and memory. In honoring Councilman Eric Mays, Flint reflects on his decades-long service, acknowledging the challenges he faced and the impact he made on the community he so passionately served.
