On March 11, 1977 Gary Edward Mickles was born to Carolyn Langford and John Mickles in Little Rock, AR. Gary attended Martin Luther King Elementary, Southwest Junior High and J.A. Fair High School. Gary was Baptist at United Church of God in Christ by Pastor James Welch in North Little Rock, AR. Gary was everything this world could ask for and more. He always spoke his mind even if it hurts your feelings. But it was all out of love. He was loving, caring, giving, happy and always joking to make everyone day. Gary was so full of life and he put life back into everyone he came across. Gary knew what love is and he showed it to everyone. He was also a wonderful impact on everyone. Gary's nickname was also Preacher cause he will speak the word of God everywhere he goes. Gary can tell you every word in the Bible from beginning to end and don't try to correct him about it cause he's gonna show you. On August 16, 2025 Gary Edward Mickles departed this life and gained his eternal wings. He is preceded in death by his father John Mickles, his mother Carolyn Langford, his nephew Malik Lewis and his grandfather Pastor James Welch. He leaves to cherish his memories, HIS WIFE MARY MICKLES. Legendary Hollywood Stuntman, Ronnie Rondell Jr., passed away at 88. The reason for his unfortunate demise is not yet known. With over 200 TV and film credits, Rondell Jr.’s career spanned from 1955 to 2003 and included work on major projects, such as Charlie’s Angels, The Matrix Reloaded, and Lethal Weapon. Born in Los Angeles on February 10, 1937, Ronnie Rondell Jr. was best known for Pink Floyd’s iconic 1975 “Wish You Were Here” album cover, for which he was set on fire. During the shoot, he was engulfed in flames multiple times, losing a part of his moustache and an eyebrow. However, this fiery stunt became one of the most legendary images of rock music. Ronnie treated his audience to one last outstanding stunt a few years after officially retiring in 2001. He made an appearance in a car chase scene from “The Matrix Reloaded,” which hit theatres in 2003. After that, he adopted a peaceful life away from the sparkling lights of Hollywood. In 2004, the industry honored his work in the stunt world with a lifetime achievement award. His survivors include his wife, Mary, and their son, R.A. Rondell, who has proudly carried on the family tradition by being a part of the stunt realm himself. He also left behind several grandchildren and a brother who misses him dearly. This role earned her two Emmy Award nominations and three Golden Globe nominations. With her expressive blue eyes and warm smile, she captured the hearts of audiences throughout the globe. Born on August 5, 1945, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, she was raised in Roseville. During her high school years, Loni was crowned queen at the Valentine’s Day Winter Formal, a glimpse of the star she would become later in her life. Her voluminous blonde hair and dazzling charm made her a standout both on and off-screen. Over the years, she appeared in numerous film and television projects, including "Wrong Number," "A Letter to Three Wives," "Sorry," "Nurses," "The New WKRP in Cincinnati," "White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd," and "Evening Shade." Influential pastor and broadcaster John Arthur passed away at 86 after health issues. Born on June 19, 1939, in Los Angeles, MacArthur was from a long line of preachers. He was a mischievous child, athletic, and always had a firm faith in God. His father, Jack MacArthur, born in Calgary, was a Baptist radio preacher, and his grandfather was a Canadian Anglican minister. MacArthur gained massive popularity throughout the globe with his "Grace to You" media ministry. Since 2024, he has been largely absent from public ministry because of his ongoing health challenges. In recent years, John has been experiencing breathing problems; he was hospitalized and underwent lung surgery and three heart procedures. After spending seven weeks in the hospital, MacArthur was discharged in February 2024. In February, he completed 56 years at Grace Community Church, but did not preach this year for obvious reasons. He was again hospitalized after contracting pneumonia in the month of his passing. However, no reason for his demise is reported. He has been a pivotal figure in evangelical circles for decades. Since 1969, MacArthur has preached over 3,000 sermons and authored many books and biblical commentaries. His wife, Patricia, and their four children, 15 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren survive him and miss him dearly.

The reason for her untimely demise is not yet reported, and she died at her residence in Los Angeles on June 23, 2025. The singer-songwriter earned the title of cinematic legend with her performance of "Llorando" in 2001 in David Lynch's opus. Born on July 10, 1967, in Chula Vista, California, Del Rio stepped into her career in San Diego before she shifted to Los Angeles for good. She contributed music to other films as well, including Sin City, Man on Fire, and Southland Tales. Her bond with Lynch continued to grow stronger over the years. Del Rio also appeared in Twin Peaks: The Return in one of the show's roadhouse musical sequences. Also, she regularly performed with "The Red Room Orchestra," which celebrates her music. Rebekah's made her final public appearance just two weeks prior to her passing, in Los Angeles at a Mulholland Drive charity screening. There, she performed live with her heart and soul one last time. She had one son, Phillip C. DeMars, who unfortunately passed away at the age of 23 in 2009, and now will be reunited with his mother.

A San Diego native, Ananda made a name for herself as a host on BET's "Teen Summit," which talked about issues facing Black youth. It featured politicians, entertainers, and community leaders. In the 1990s, she became a beloved TV personality with her authenticity and warmth. Lewis also landed big interviews with Tupac Shakur, Kobe Bryant, and Louis Farrakhan. She also earned herself an NAACP Image Award for interviewing the first lady, Hillary Clinton. After a few sessions, she took her talents over to MTV in 1997. She was a VJ and host on "MTV Live." "Total Request Live" and "Hot Zone," a daily top 10 video countdown show. She was diagnosed in 2020 and was open about her cancer journey publicly. At that time, the disease was initially stage 3 before it advanced to stage 4 last year. For six years, she had been living with breast cancer. Her son, Langston, survives her.

Sylvester Stewart, legendary funk rock musician known by his stage name Sly Stone, passed at 82. Known as a wildly inventive musician, Sly's discography spanned audiences and genres throughout his massive career. Being the lead singer of "Sly and the Family Stone," the artist produced hits like "Family Affair" and "Everyday People." Born in Denton, Texas, in his childhood years, Stewart moved to Northern California, where his father had a cleaning business. He was a pioneer in techniques such as using drum machines, multitrack layering, and home recording. These innovations were later adopted by many bigwigs in the industry, including Stevie Wonder, Prince, and many bedroom producers around the globe. Sly's unique style included distorted bass lines, wah-wah pedal, and complex vocal arrangements, all of which left an indelible mark on hip-hop, soul, and funk. Prior to forming his reputed band, Stewart worked as a producer and radio DJ at a small record label. He got himself the stage name Sly Stone and founded Sly and the Family Stone, a group that gained fame with the hit "Dance to the Music" in 1968. Their performance in 1969 at the Woodstock Festival, just before sunrise, became an iconic moment in the history of music. In 1993, Sly and the Family Stone was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Sylvester was honored at the 2006 Grammy Awards. In his personal life, he married a model, Kathy Silva, during a concert in 1974, and the two of them had a son. Sly also had two daughters, Novena and Cynthia Robinson.

Born in June 1953 in Indonesia, Mahaffey moved to Nigeria with her family when she was only 11; later, they moved to England. Ultimately, they settled in Austin, Texas, where she attended the University of Texas. In the 1970s, Valerie made her debut on Broadway and got a part in the soap opera "The Doctors" during almost the same period, in which she paved the way for her transition to TV. Even though she cherished playing roles on the small and big screens, Mahaffey continued performing onstage. Her theatrical credits include "Romeo and Juliet" and "Othello" (with Morgan Freeman). Celebrated for her versatility across 50 years in film and TV, she earned herself a daytime Emmy for "The Doctors" and a Primetime Emmy for "Northern Exposure." Her bewitching portrayal of Alma Hodge in Desperate Housewives influenced massive audiences. She also played characters in "Dead to Me," "Young Sheldon," and "French Exit," for which she got an Independent Spirit Award nomination. George Wendt

"Cheers" star George Wendt passed away peacefully in his home at 76. His demise coincided with the 32nd anniversary of the Cheers series finale. Born on October 17, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, George Robert Wendt Jr. was one of nine children, a part of a big Irish-German family. He got into the University of Notre Dame but soon transferred to Rockhurst College and got an economics degree. After completing his degree, he stepped into his career in acting and comedy with Chicago's popular Second City Improve troupe. This was where he met his future wife, actress Bernadette Birkett. In 1982, Wendt's major breakthrough came when he aced the character of Norm Peterson on NBC's Cheers. He was an integral part of all 275 series episodes, which ran for 11 seasons until 1993. This earned him six consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. The character he played became a cultural icon, popular for his strong rapport with fellow members and consistent presence in the neighborhood bar. George kept working across theater, films, and TV after bidding farewell to Cheers. He had roles in The Simpsons, Frasier, and Seinfeld. Moreover, Wendt also led the short-lived The George Wendt Show. He was married to Birkett for more than 4 decades, and the couple had three children together. George was cherished for his broad appeal and down-to-earth demeanor. He was widely respected by his co-workers and loved by his fans. His legacy in American TV and comedy will keep on being celebrated by future generations.
