Steven Benson, 78 of Mesa, AZ passed away June 13, 2023. Steven was born on August 27, 1944 to Carl Douglas and Irene Rerick Benson. He graduated from Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, WA and proudly served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He married Sharene May Benson on December 11, 1972 in Reno, NV. Steven worked as Journeyman Pipefitter at Todd Shipyards. He also worked at Bellevue Parks as a Waterway Engineer. Steven enjoyed fishing, gardening, and talking to his neighbors, family, and friends. He attended crossroads bible Church with his son, Doug. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Douglas and Irene Benson; and an unborn child. Steven is survived by his wife, Sharene Benson of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Julie Caviezel of Gig Harbor, WA; and son, Doug W. Benson of Mesa, AZ.
